We’re going to have desserts from Little Blackbird Bakery, a trunk show with lingerie & PJs from Amour, plus Rayna Art + Co with henna! There is going to be a giveaway for a basket full of goodies along with gifts for anyone who books a session at the open house.
Now, a little bit about this photo shoot:
I had to make incredibly hard decisions a few months back. I put out a model call for some styled shoots & so far 2 of those shoots have worked out beautifully. The difficult part was picking out models, because I had so many amazing women who applied.
First, I wanted to do a session that celebrated the new studio space – the plan was balloons, cake, glitter, all the works! I really felt that this session was perfect for Miss J. She e-mailed me saying she’d recently had a huge weight loss & is just now starting to feel comfortable in her body, plus she was interested in getting outside her comfort zone to try out a boudoir session. PLUS while picking out her lingerie pieces, she told us that she’s getting married soon! She had so many reasons to celebrate, which was completely perfect for this shoot! I love her energy, confidence, & beauty that shines through in these photos!
Also, can we talk about how Kati from Blush killed the hair & makeup?! We went full on glam with gold eye shadow – much more dramatic than our typical boudoir session & it was so much fun!
Then there was this cake!!! Little Blackbird Bakery created an amazing “nearly naked” cake – which is quite fitting with the amount of clothing my clients typically wear. 😀 She added gorgeous rose gold edible glitter… and the best part?! It was butterbeer flavored!!!
I also need to talk about how amazing & perfect the lingerie was!! Heather at Amour helped us pick out gorgeous sets that complimented Miss J so well! I cannot even.
