It’s OK to be nervous.

Boudoir sessions are a bit intimidating, I get that.  Unless you’re a Victoria Secrets model, you don’t often strip down to your lingerie for photos.

Most – if not all – of my wonderful clients who have been brave enough to schedule a session with me have started out telling me through e-mail, at the consult, or the morning of their session that they were mildly to extremely nervous.  They’re worried about posing, not wanting certain body parts to show, and there’s always the fact that they’re letting someone they barely know take photos of them with very little clothing.

I want you to know something.  This is very important:

It is completely OK to be nervous.

It’s true.  That part about someone you barely know taking your photos?  Well, that is what my consultations are for.  I want you to feel 100% comfortable around me.  I’ll be there every step of the way, cheering you on, helping you feel confident and beautiful.  You can call me, text me, e-mail me at any time.

Worried about posing & those problem areas?  EVERYONE no matter who they are has something they don’t like about their body.  You are not alone.  But the best part about my boudoir sessions is that you don’t have to worry about posing & those problem areas.  I’ll pose you for your body & accentuate your gorgeous features.

Shortly after your photo shoot begins, you’ll forget why you were nervous.  I’ll dance around to songs like a crazy person and we’ll end a session with a high five and a hug to celebrate how brave and amazing you were!

My past clients usually end the session saying how it wasn’t nearly as scary as they thought it would be and talk about how much fun they had, some remarking how it’s not much different than being at the beach in a swimsuit or trying on clothes with your sister.

For many this is a once-in-a-lifetime thing, so be nervous, but try it anyways.  Celebrate who you are today, not the person you’re trying to be, because who you are right now is pretty amazing and deserves to feel beautiful.

And now we’ll lighten the mood with a photo from today…
